Internship Experience at Ap8Werks - Architectural Trainee AP8werks Employee Review

I was working as an intern for 6 months at AP8WERKS Pte Ltd as part of my Polytechnic module requirement. The staff at AP8WERKS were very friendly, helpful, caring and welcoming. During the initial interview the Director Mr. Tan and Ms. Priscilla were very easy to converse and communicate. And very understanding too. They stress upon the company’s value to be able to communicate well , learning experience, perseverance , passion and teamwork. The working environment and atmosphere were indeed stressful yet challenging, exciting and fun. The company also upholds the values of being open and creative about your inputs, ideas and opinion. I managed to pick up and learn substantially being exposed to the working nature and the many tasks given to me such as drafting and field assignments such on site and coordinating duties, meetings and communication with contractors. I have gained many insightful knowledge and and real working exposures throughout my internship stint at AP8WERKS. I am indeed grateful and indebted to AP8WERKS for giving me this invaluable working experience and opportunity.

- There is some miscommunication at times but it was resolve instantly. - In need to work during the public holidays - Some overtime works are needed as well.

Joining AP8Werks was one of the best decisions I made in my job career. I later realised that I did indeed make the right decision. Graduating from school does not mean we stop learning, it is just preparing us to sit in the biggest classrooms of life, and its inevitable lessons. The working environment is truly one of a kind. You'll never get to experience an environment filled with respect, and collaboration is just a big part of it. Growing, learning and having fun together, just like siblings growing up together, together through thick and thin. Having the Chief of the company guiding me, to familiarise myself in this industry's work atmosphere and what is expected is the greatest opportunity. Not only did he train me in areas such as efficiency and enrich me in new skills to empower myself, he also trained me to pay close attention to detail, a skill that is vital in my area of expertise. A workplace that does not discriminate against your level and knowledge, and welcomes anyone who is willing to learn. I still have a long way to go thanks to my mentor who continues to expand my skill sets and the stimulating environment of the industry. I look forward to what the future holds for me and my career!
