- A shift from mainly resource aug engagements to more outcome-based ones is exposing some cracks in terms of strength and depth of talent in being able to drive the focus and behaviours necessary to do that well. "Agile Delivery Lead" is not the same thing as a switched on older-school Project Manager in terms of their ability to drive accountability for outcomes, actions and dates, and having the right level of attention to detail for complex deliveries with third-party dependencies etc.
- Still some legacy of people who joined during the 'rising tide lifting all boats' days who have not yet fully adapted to the need to be more proactive, commercially oriented and focused on delivering customers' business outcomes, as opposed to simply showing up and billing for the day. That's not enough any more, and not everyone has made that transition yet.
