Pros

Zero. TERRIBLE benefits. Awful, incompetent leadership. Very low morale.

Cons

Literally everything. This place is a clown car being driven by fools. Terrible benefits, too. I’d be shocked if this company existed a year from now. It’s that bad. Almost everyone seemed very unhappy to me. Very upset customers to deal with. Awful product that everyone complained about. Apathetic consultants. Unprofessional behavior. There’s one manager especially who’s in love with his own voice and never seems to listen to anyone, the type who says stuff like “I hear what you’re saying” (when he clearly doesn’t) and “perception is reality” (and other silly b-school clichés). HR department is completely incompetent to boot.

First off, thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We're sorry that your experience at AMTdirect didn't match our intention of being a great place to work. We are truly committed to creating a positive, encouraging, and motivating culture, so I'm disappointed to hear about your experience. I wanted to take a moment to address a few of your specific concerns. AMTdirect is continuously looking for ways to enhance our employee benefits, so any suggestions you have are more than welcome! We currently offer a very competitive benefits package including 3 weeks of PTO, 10 paid holidays, a 401K plan with match, 75% of cost of medical coverage, 100% dental coverage, and life and long-term disability. Also, as we have grown so quickly (over 300% last year alone), we recognize the need for more documentation and training around our processes and are currently working to improve. In fact, we just added another project manager to help with this very thing. Thanks again for your feedback.

Pros

- Great office culture - Good people - I don't dread coming into work - New business consistently coming in AMT is a great place to work. The negative review from 06/28/2019 is far from the truth (AVOID! Complete Disaster ...). I personally worked next to the gentleman who wrote it. I've worked here for a year and a half, so I feel like I have a better understanding of how our office runs. He wasn't even here long enough to get through training. ( He only worked here for 3 weeks tops, Not a full 3 weeks, more like 2-3 days out those weeks, for about 3-6 hours on those days)( Mind you, everyone else comes in everyday and works 40 hours a week). I got a sense that he was trying to get over on management and HR. Once he couldn't get his inflated perks, he did what he could to get over on us and wrote that bad review which was full of hyperbole. Our HR Manager is AWESOME! She's Intelligent, a go getter and is willing to help anyone when they are in need. The Owners and Top Level Management are also good people as well. They are working hard and long hours to make sure we have a secure and thriving workplace. Just wanted to clarify a few things you guys.

Cons

Only Con - Newer software company with growing pains.

Pros

This place used to be a great place to work, they claimed they cherished values and families and it felt like a place to set your coffee cup down and work hard with a family environment.

Cons

They treat their employees as just worker bees, disposable and definitely not a part of the family. I saw people who did not work hard get promotions, while the ones who sacrificed time at home get the boot like it was personal. I would suggest if you work here, use it a a building block or training example of how companies should not treat their employees. They also don't tell you that if you put in notice you may get cut that day and insurance ends the same day. They also will make you wait to get your own personal property. I've seen people get fired on their birthday, so don't get too close with management.

We are sorry that there are hard feelings. Our goal is for every employee who leaves AMTdirect to do so with great memories and strengthened skills and experience. Our primary responsibility is to protect the interests of our customers, staff and company. We are generally happy to accept a notice period when an employee decides to pursue a new opportunity, but in some cases the right thing to do is to end the employment relationship right away. We wish nothing but the best for you and hope that you benefit from the experience and connections you gained while at AMTdirect.
