Even good people burn out when you don't pay them enough, which AMN does not.
They expect too much from too few people. Teams are constantly 1-2 people short which doesn't sound like a lot but makes a world of difference. Forget about life, or positive feedback, you'll only hear from management when you've screwed up, usually because you're overburdened with work. Also get ready to take on more and more and more tasks, new responsibilities, without a corresponding change in pay. Not much transparency with regard to upper management decisions that directly impact the team. Lip service given to career advancement, but ain't nobody got time for that. Expect to be made a scapegoat when things go wrong.
