Pros

The location is good and office building is beautiful.

Cons

Micromanagement is insane. Coworkers try to be your boss. You are ridiculously underpaid compared to other agencies. No room for growth or movement up the corporate ladder. The top dogs get to do whatever they want including leaving early and taking long lunches yet the recruiters are expected to work their butts off and it’s frowned upon to have to take time off.

Pros

I have worked at AMN for 22 years, and one of the things I value most about working at AMN Healthcare is the culture. AMN is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where employees feel welcomed, respected, and empowered to contribute. The company’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) provide meaningful opportunities to connect, learn, grow, and support causes that matter, helping create a strong sense of belonging across the organization. Collaboration is a core part of how we work, with teams partnering across departments to solve challenges, share ideas, and support one another’s success. AMN also encourages professional development, innovation, and employee engagement, making it a rewarding place to build a career while making a positive impact on healthcare.

Cons

- Some processes can feel complex due to the size of the organization. - Collaboration across multiple departments occasionally means additional meetings and coordination. - Career growth opportunities can be competitive because many employees choose to stay and build long-term careers at AMN.

Pros

AMN Healthcare provided opportunities to work on meaningful projects that supported healthcare organizations across the country. Leadership encouraged collaboration, and I had the chance to work with talented colleagues from different departments. The company invested in professional development, offered flexibility, and promoted a culture focused on solving complex problems while improving the healthcare experience for clients and clinicians.

Cons

Like many large organizations, priorities could shift quickly, making it challenging to balance competing initiatives. Communication between departments could sometimes be improved, and decision-making occasionally took longer than expected because of the size of the organization.
