Pros

• I work 100% remote and travel the world as a digital nomad. I have been with the business over 3 years and when I met Ash for my first interview and said this was my aim, he gave me goals to hit to enable me to do this. I hit them and he encouraged me to start my journey, I am now 22 months into the digital nomad lifestyle and loving every minute. This is in part thanks to AJC and Ash’s belief and trust in me and he has helped enable my dreams to come true. • Ultimate autonomy. • Great commission scheme and incentives. • I’ve become friends with management outside of work due to our shared vision and values. • When I raise my hand and ask for help, guidance, whether that be in work of life, Ash is always there to help and offer up advice from his own experiences that help me make the right decision or remedy the problem. • Our Ops Manager is awesome. She is great at helping me navigate anything technical where I need help or any other problem that can arise from time to time. • The business’ ability to adapt and evolve.

Cons

I can't think of any!

Pros

Ashley James is a company that offers an environment that allows you to bring in and adapt your own style to locating the best recruitment talent in the market. It's an ambitious company with extensive growth plans for the future, which will inevitably lead to loads of opportunities for current and future staff. Great office space in Central Manchester with the option to work from home on occasion as you have access to everything through company laptop and phone. Because it's a small business your input is vital so you will get an opportunity to implement ideas and plans that will help shape the future!

Cons

Well, this con is more aimed at R2R - it's a demanding role, you will be speaking to candidates at any time they can do as you need full flexibility so it's essentially like being on-call. It isn't just a 'job' doing this, it becomes a part of your life... But if you give that commitment, you'll get some great rewards!

You're absolutely right about a career in R2R, it's a tough gig, not one for the feint-hearted but one that can be so rewarding both purposefully and financially. I've forgotten the amount of times I've been delivering offers or registering hot candidates whilst at dinner with the family or wife. It's a competitive landscape and dealing with recruiters day in, day out, they can be both needy and impatient. We really appreciate your honest and thoughtful feedback, thanks so much!
