Pros

-Love most of the people I work with. -Great benefits, 401K w/company match, Medical, Dental, STD & LTD, Life Ins, -Good brand recognition makes outbound calling easier, -

Cons

-Lots of hiring of Field Sales Agents w/o relevant work experience, high turnover, no Customer Service support, makes it hard to grow your book of business. -Company owns book. -Not an actual Salary as advertised rather, it's a Draw against Commission that starts at $39K=$750/wk. for first six months only. Then draw decreases for next 6mos to $35,100+$675/wk. After 1yr it's $31,200=$600/wk. -You have to sell enough premium for the commission to cover the Draw AND a minimum of 15 units before any commission is paid. -Commissions are based on meeting Tiers but even at top tier (pretty difficult to attain), lower than industry standards. -You also have to meet minimum membership and life insurance sales or drop down a tier which could result in no commission at all, regardless of the amount of premium. -It's the only position that doesn't pay commission on first dollar of sale in company. Changes to compensation happen frequently. -Renewal commissions only paid for 4yrs. -Renewal commissions are only 1% for Brokered Carriers and 2% for Branded -Not much opportunity for upward mobility

Pros

Working remote is a benefit.

Cons

If you don't mind being stressed to meet KPI's or be facing the door, sell credit cards, create leads for life agents, essentially service your own policies while trying to focus on new business, multiple goals to hit, 1 for units, 1 for memberships, 1 for brokered, 1 for credit cards to get a commission, low base salary comparatively then this is for you
