Pros
This company is not afraid to admit patients with complicated care, which to me, is very rewarding to know that we can help these patients when other companies are not willing to... Also, it's an opportunity to use and perfect ALL of your nursing skills. I've been able to perform and learn so many new things with this company. And they are very willing to teach you any and everything!
Cons
It's very exhausting work, especially when we are short-staffed. There is a lot of driving involved and there isn't always ideal working environments at the patients' homes. So that can be a challenge, as far as finding a way to complete clean and sterile procedures correctly with limited space and resources. (If you enjoy challenges, like I do, this may be considered a pro for you!) And the scheduling can be hectic, you never really know who your patients are until the day of, so it's difficult to plan ahead.
