Good place to work - Software Tester 2simple Software Employee Review

Products are great and a very talented development team. The products make a genuine difference in the education of young people. The former management team made some great, much needed changes as the business was failing but unfortunatley you decided to get rid of them all and are still yet to explain this.

The owner. The owner is very unstable and makes very questionable, detrimental decisons. 3 senior staff were made redunant with no explanation (except an email to all staff telling us to smile and drink lots of water...??) Then several other staff were fired for asking questions. It's hard to see the company lasting much longer unless they either sell or bring in a new management team. Friends get paid very well and its very easy to get away with being bad at your job.

The products themselves are great. The company was really going somewhere both in the UK and overseas until the owner made a series of ridiculous decisions.

Owner is completely unstable. He had an incredibly talented senior leadership team under who the company was growing swiftly. He has no vision or leadership abilities, hence having his SLT in place but suddenly - with no warning or explanations at all - he sacked his three most senior staff. He followed this by sacking anyone that questioned him and this resulted in several other senior staff resigning as they feared for their own jobs. I have never seen anyone treated so badly or so unprofessionally in my life, let alone members of the senior team. DISGRACEFUL!!
