      A mixed experience with outdated leadership and inadequate compensation

      Pros

      The new General Manager is making positive changes. Recent hires are addressing a significant talent gap within the company. Decent Work-life balance.

      Cons

      The company is run more like a budget restaurant than a tech company. Compensation for engineers is inadequate given the expectations set for them. The CEO's outdated leadership style creates bottlenecks. Payroll is only processed once a month, causing financial stress and anxiety. There are too many managers, creating confusion and slowing down progress. There are minimal employee perks, making it difficult for employees to feel valued and motivated.

      Friendly staff, benefits. A company with great first impressions. Interesting technology.

      Cons

      Due to personal interests, a few key individuals are suffocating any form of an advancement. It will not change since their knowledge owns the company as they decide who gets the job and who gets laid-off; while protecting themselves.

      - International exposure and great opportunities to travel - Global team - Great suite of products

      Cons

      The cons - there are many. First, the company's senior leadership is very poor. The owner and his son have zero leadership skills and micro-manage every single detail. This is a terrible way to run a global company. People are not happy and always on edge. Second, there is little or no training when a new hire starts. You are thrown into the mix and have unrealistic expectations. Third, the performance review matrix is outdated. Some managers don't give a 5 (highest mark) and colleagues are left to ask, "What's the point of trying so hard?" Last, and this one is important - the CEO will belittle anyone without knowing the full context. He is so out of line and out of touch.
