Pros

There was good Health Insurance

Cons

Poor organization, and incompetent Mangers and representatives that were brought in 'from Germany. The whole company suffered because the top manager didnt know what he was doing. he was trying to fix things that werent broke, meanwhile the broken things remained broken. The poor quality and low morale was evident everywhere within the company.

Small town company Redcar site

Pros

Some of the lower level staff and newer engineers were welcoming. The Redcar site has a wind turbine to generate electricity.

Cons

Large company run as though it is a small business. No respect for employees and a lack of progression, both personal and professional. Many long term employees have a clique and a bullying culture of new and younger staff is evident. The company penny pinches in the extreme to the detriment of staff and especially shop floor workers.

Pros

Successful company with good benefits. HR Department is nice.

Cons

The people!!! This was the most unfriendly place I have ever worked. The training was nonexistent and the accounting/finance team was hostile. Other departments in the organization were helpful and seemed to have a desire and pride to represent ElringKlinger, but not inside the accounting team. The Accounting/Finance department has a practice of bringing in management from other regions/countries rather than promoting from within and it shows in their employees. The accounting team members seem to share a hatred for ElringKlinger and are very quick to let new employees know. There is no training, no documented work procedures, and no accounting policies. The direction of the department seems to change based on whichever corp executive has been brought in to run the department at the time.
