Pros

Lots of parking, close to TTC, gym onsite. People are polite but keep to themselves - I believe out of fear more than anything else.

Cons

- Management is ruthless, they will fire you at the drop of a dime without a reason. They can also be nasty in their communication to you - even when you are not responsible whatsoever for what they perceive as a failure. - On my first day a person on my team told me that the company is having a lot of difficulty lately (I'm being polite - they were far more brutal in their assessment). Needless to say I was shocked. - The office is quite cramped and stuffy. There is poor ventilation for so many people working in such a small space. - Start much earlier than is required, and certainly stay later than required otherwise it is perceived as you don't care about your job. - My desk area in particular was filthy when I started; the keyboard had letters completely washed out ( I couldn't even tell what I was typing for heavens sake), and naturally the chair reeked of b.o. - This company convinced me to leave my previous job and lived up to none of the contractual agreements when I started. Complete fabrication from the whole management team (HR, Operations, Sales, Technical support). - I should have trusted Glassdoor more before accepting a job there. We are fortunate to have such a resource available to us in today's job market. * On a couple of side notes: - Beware of any positive reviews this company may receive, if you look at the dates the reviews are submitted there is a reason former staff will not give a positive review. This company has not received a positive review in quite some time for a reason. - This company is posting photos that don't not show the work areas, they post pictures of tradeshows, the gym, and a holiday lunch because the truth is that the office is cramped and disorganized.

It is unfortunate that the perceptions and concerns that have been posted here over the last few months, were never shared with us as we would have wanted to make every attempt to address them as best we could. Regrettably, I have only just been informed of their existence and I believe it is incumbent upon me to take this opportunity to share my views and the views of the other members of the Edisoft family. Hopefully, the reader will understand and share my profound disappointment with any individual that would so readily and callously depreciate the value of his/her former coworkers. Permit me to unequivocally state how much we truly value our long-tenured staff and their invaluable contributions to the development of some of the best software technology in our space. Staff whose qualifications reflect some of the most knowledgeable individuals in the industry, a fact that has been constantly reaffirmed in our customer surveys. I would like to take this opportunity to emphasize that at Edisoft we value every individual that contributes to the combined effort of our culturally diverse environment. In the past year, team members have taken more than week-long leaves to visit with relatives in Mexico, India, Egypt, Hong Kong et al, and they have been more than welcomed back on their return. Allow me to clarify some misconceptions about the Edisoft working environment as necessitated by the grossly inaccurate and disingenuous comments of those who have posted on this site. Members of the Edisoft team that drive to work have underground parking spaces paid for by the company, and all enjoy free membership to nicely equipped gym facilities. They work in the privacy and spaciousness of Teknion cubicles and we all enjoy a newly renovated, floor-to-ceiling-windows office with sprawling views of the Villaways Park and the green spaces of the Don River Valley, where a number of our colleagues enjoy daily walks. I am hopeful that you will be as hard pressed as I am to understand how anyone can claim that management is only concerned about money. Furthermore, everyone that has been offered a position with our company has met with 4-5 EdIsoft team members and has been given at least 1 tour through the entire office so that they can assess the work space environment for themselves. Once again, it is hard to understand how anyone, if not doing so anonymously and without any concern for the truth of their statements, can claim that a company of this size is constantly restructuring by eliminating, as many as, 16 positions in 1 short year. The costs of turnover are very significant to every organization, and we are no exception. The long tenure of our staff reflects our commitment to stability, which is one of our core strengths. We have communicated the importance of individuals meeting their commitment to their coworkers and the company, so that we can all in turn meet our commitment to our customers. Taking pride in what we do, how we do it and when we do it, does not offend the people that have made the commitment to be members of our team and provide me with the distinct honor of seeing them and talking with them every day that I am at work. Without compunction, I can attest to the fact that I, along with the entire management team, have treated everyone in the employment of Edisoft based on merit and their desire to perform to their full potential. I am taking the unusual step of posting on this website as I encourage anyone considering a career at Edisoft to evaluate our company by seeing for themselves and having their questions answered directly by Edisoft management or a team member. We welcome every opportunity to have ourselves fairly and properly assessed in making your decision, as opposed to being misinformed by inaccurate and self-serving statements that have been previously posted here. Given the quality and reception of our products and services, coupled with favorable partner and customer feedback, we are entering a growth phase and we are in the process of also setting up a second office in the city core, with further plans to expand outside North America, where we already have some notable customers. We truly look forward to hearing from highly motivated individuals looking to advance their career and be part of Edisoft’s exciting future. Thanos Polyzos, CEO

Pros

Company is located very conveniently across Leslie station, has free parking. Coworkers are nice but are not interested to interact.

Cons

This one is a Sinking ship, as the title is clear enough, do stay away if you have a choice. Edisoft is a horrible company to work for. There is no work-life balance and most of employees working at Edisoft are middle aged adults who are working there for more than 10-15 years and have no choice but to bear all the tantrums of upper management. Upper management is terrible, old fashioned is running the company like a school where you have to present at your work at 8.30-8.45 am though the hours are 9 -5.30, but you will be judged if you leave at 5.30 pm. Salary range is very less as compared to the market rate and is not raised even in quarterly performance appraisals. People working at Edisoft always keep to themselves and does not like talking much to the new hires. Company does a lot of restructuring time to time which eventually makes them fire people. Company would put a lot of tasks on you but may end up deciding we don't need to do that without even realizing that the employee must have invested his/her time in completing that task. The basic pattern that we have noticed is " ONE MUST NEVER TAKE VACATION" because company may realize they can function without you and when you come back YOUR TERMINATION LETTER WOULD BE WAITING FOR YOU. Edisoft is not a company anybody would like to start a career with. Again I would repeat, do stay away if you have a choice.

Pros

- Close to Leslie station - Free parking

Cons

As I mentioned earlier, please avoid to join this company if you can: - If you arrive at 9:05 am, you are late and if you leave at 5:31 pm, you are not enthusiastic towards work - It is a company of 30 people and in last 1 year, around 16 are gone (fired during company restructure process) - A big of round of applause for management. They will shout at you and throw stuff during meetings. You will be having zero respect - No matter how much effort you put in, Management will find something to blame on you
