Operations are very messy. There are always complications with products, shipments, and inventory.

All the tracking and spread sheets that need to be filled out on a daily basis is repetitive and should find a better way of doing things.

There are a lot of niche services and products that are offered. Not all of them can be explained in such a short amount of time, which can make it feel like the trainee period is long. Also stock does not come in, quickly so the retail team has to constantly tell customers that many products are sold out

Benefits could be better. Employee discount does not include decor. Sales point system is very outdated. Not much staff per boutique so it’s hard to take vacation time and to call in sick.

I am writing to provide feedback as a former employee of Diptyque, and I feel it is important to be honest about my experience. Working for Diptyque was an extremely negative and toxic experience, by far the worst retail company I have ever encountered during my career in the UK. The work environment fostered by Diptyque was unhealthy, primarily due to management. The managers employed by the company were consistently unprofessional and displayed outright bullying behavior. Their treatment of staff was disgraceful, and there was no support system in place for employees to report or resolve these issues. This created a hostile work atmosphere that made it nearly impossible to perform my duties with any sense of well-being. Diptyque not only failed in terms of management but also in basic employee care. There was a blatant lack of respect for staff members, and the working conditions were below acceptable standards. For a company with such a prestigious brand image, the internal culture was a complete contradiction – chaotic, disrespectful, and utterly toxic. To any potential future employees, I cannot in good conscience recommend Diptyque as a place of employment. The company’s disregard for its workers and the hostile environment it allows to persist make it, without a doubt, the worst retail employer I have ever encountered. I hope you take this feedback seriously and begin to address the toxic culture within the organization.

Absolutely awful company. Petty bullying and mean girl behaviour is supported by the head office, even when it concerns fully grown adults. Cult-like behaviour around overpriced paraffin candles. If you don't follow into the cult, you will be sidelined. Micromanaging every move of sales advisors, despite good sales performance. Extremely concerning turnover, everyone is new or has joined rather recently. No wonder there is a collection of negative reviews here, which are all extremely accurate. Overall, it's an awfully toxic work environment.
