Pros
Nice colleagues Lovely product Great customers Quarterly allocation
Cons
Senior Management, HR, HOS and Area Manager are not leaders. The management style reliant on bullying, always hiding behind e mails. There are no visits to see the hardworking teams or to check on wellbeing. Because of the nature of the senior head office team, some of the retail workers have visited doctors due to high stress levels, many now on antidepressants. There is a massive exodus of staff on all levels at the moment, including some very highly skilled personnel. To date at least 13 staff have left. An investigation should be actioned as soon as possible. Most of the interactions between head office and the retail workers is via ‘Teams’ remote meetings. Even taking place with individuals who really need support face to face. There is a hierarchy, when giving constructive feedback to HR etc no changes are made. No one is listened to and the feeling overall is that the retail teams are fools. Plenty of paperwork piled onto the Managers which does not enable them to drive their teams successfully. One poor assistant Manager was working on a monthly report until midnight in the boutique. There is no duty of care for the wellbeing of the teams. Highly recommend anyone thinking of joining Diptyque in London not to do so , until top management has changed. They have no idea what is going on in their retail stores as they never spend time in stores with the teams. Manzanita should be looking closely at the culture of their business starting at the very top !
