Pros

Flexible schedule 100% remote from anywhere in Canada for patient facing roles Free access to professional development through Coursera if you are full-time Great benefits 3000$ HSA 4 weeks paid vacation and paid statutory holidays Access to support from multidisciplinary teams

Cons

Must build your schedule 3 months ahead of time Change management has been toxic in the past and rarely considers the realities on the front line Bilingual specialists must work in both languages without extra compensation No disability leave Up to 7 patients per day is the new norm not the exception Some Upper Management driving decisions can have little to no experience in mental health Middle management have no say in decisions putting them in a position where employees except them to advocate their needs but without any influence Some middle managers have historically cultivated toxic positive culture Any form of speaking up against change is seen and coded as being a difficult employee and could be used against you in your yearly evaluations Salary increases are negligible and don't match cost of living

Pros

Flexibility in hours and building your schedule

Cons

Toxic environment that promotes reporting your own colleagues to boost your own metrics. Toxic method of managing workers. Priority is on abstruse metrics over reducing wait times and efficient care.

Passionate team but leadership overlooks pay and growth

Pros

Passionate team with hard working people

Cons

- If you're not one of mgmt's favorites, good luck - Leadership refuses to revisit pay structures despite being way behind the salary bands of competitors - Over my tenure, there has been more than 1 year where employees did not receive a raise that matched the inflation rate - Growth is extremely tough. Managers aren't given any resources to actually learn how to be a manager so a lot of mistakes are made and false expectations created - Tech stack is stuck in the stone age. We have so much tech debt, nothing is properly documented, a lot of key employees have fled the company. Things take way longer than they should take to deliver because we've focused so much on net-new MVP product features without cleaning up our messes
