The culture is toxic, there's is a culture of blame. No employment development. No leadership. CEO is a visionary, but lacks leadership skills. COO is a poor communicator and not a thought leader. I was surprised to learn we have a legal team of three, that should give you an insight into how leadership thinks.

Company leadership is impulsive and lacks a coherent strategy, even by startup standards. The result is constantly changing objectives and goals that cannot possible be attained with the time and technical resources available, pitting different teams against each other as everyone tries to "do the impossible." This has created a culture of intense negativity, blame, and distrust. Almost nothing is done to support employees' professional development (which is ironic because Declara is supposedly an adult learning company). Multiple senior executives that were known as good mentors and managers have been pushed out of the company. Very few vacation days (10 days/year).
