    Free sunglasses after passing probation. Decent commission. Staff discounts etc

    Cons

    Roster received the day before week started. No holidays June through August.

    Pros

    Worked in concession at Brown Thomas, David Clulow provided excellent training, basic wage, as concession manager 25k was the yearly rate, this was topped up by beating sales targets, easy in summer, more challenging in winter. Brown Thomas also gave commission and great incentives for sales. Area manager was very pushy, undermining and not a good role model for company. Head office were friendly easy to deal with.

    Sales pressure and sometimes high targets, long hours.

    Pros

    Opportunity to work with the best Luxury Sunglasses such as Chanel/Tiffany/D& G. 2 pairs of Free Own brand sunglasses. Good training for customer Service & product knowledge

    Payment is basic,no benefits at all

    Pros

    You get a discount in the sunglasses, I think it's 2 times a year you can get 50% off.

    Cons

    Contracted hours vary to what you're actually given. You're pretty much disposable.

    Free eye test or 30% discount for the sunglasses that the company itself makes them...

    Very low salary, difficult to communicate, differentiation between employees

    You receive so much support, very relaxing and understading team. we helped each other

    Not much cons, apart some customers just think they are right, which is annoying, as we are trained to know what style fits best for individuals

    A great place if you want to learn new skills and get experience with superior customer service

    Cons

    Not many chances to grow, very high expectations from customers and not enough support from higher roles. Jobs in the optical sector deserve higher pay.
