Pros

Great people and working conditions. The owner is a great guy and really makes you feel at ease when you join the business. Flexible working conditions and good commission structure if working in sales function

Cons

Needs to evolve slightly as some of their services need to transfer from offline to online and too much of the work is manually delivered internally and should be automated. Tech management are up themselves and brick wall other areas of the business which is poor for overall development of the business

Pros

Working for a recognised "brand" organisation. If you're lucky, there are opportunities to get involved with some interesting and diverse projects and clients. Ability (within reason) to choose working hours/routine to suit.

Cons

The perception of the Datacom brand in the market is massively at odds with the reality. You may be shoved into a role on the basis of simply being available, not the ability to perform the role (or have to deal with working with someone in that position). The very flexible approach to working hours can be challenging when it comes to arranging a schedule with colleagues who choose vastly different hours/routines. Very poor salaries. The low salaries mean there are very few experienced or quality people to work with or for the less experienced people to learn from. Management is very disconnected. Very much a case of "them and us". Very poorly defined career progression based primarily on being "one of us" rather than ability or aptitude. There is an obsession with an annual survey of employee engagement but no real attention given to actually providing an engaging workplace.
