Pros

- It will give you incentive to find a better job. - Pay and benefit are decent for what you do, but lower than what you would like since they will never utilize your potential.

Cons

- Horrible management that will string you along as long as possible - Boring and inefficient work tasks - Near useless on job training - Catty employees - No path for growth and advancement beyond entry level

Take another 4-6 weeks of Job searching before signing a contract

Pros

- job potential and possibilities - technical learning possibilities among the platforms and interoperability - good benefits - open door policy (see cons*) - pay is not bad, but is below what a tech should get for the migraines and frustrations one gets working.

Cons

- short term goals are killing the log term potentials in the company - *open door policy is great but some managers take it as a personal attack instead of new improvements (not truly open door) - high turnover because of the job dynamics - old and or outdated equipment - management does not know what their employees are capable of doing given the chance - no possibilities to advance, technically or professionally - technically incapable outsourcing that internal employees can not fix on a short term basis - the agile environment produces a lot of fast unstable products to meet schedules that has to be fixed again and again over a long term basis (company has some belief that the more work the more productive they are) - high level of stress due to the above comment - more then a fair share of finger pointing or finding blame then finding solutions

Pros

Co-workers were an absolute joy to work and be around; work environment was decent enough; decent work/life balance; very great vacation policy. It's a good place to start your IT career.

Cons

Well where shall I start? Well, let's start at the top. The current COO has fostered an environment of everyone against one another, and maximizing profits for the company at the expense of the well-being of those who generate the profit for them. Data Foundry use to have a sense of family and a motivating environment to learn and grow as a professional. However, that changed with the current guy in charge. It is now effectively a churn n burn operation, everyone is replaceable, no one is special. From there, pay is absolutely abysmal for 2019, it was great for 2014/15. However, this industry moves fast, and if you don't pay your workers their worth, good luck keeping them. I highly doubt they care about that though. Middle management has barely been a thing due to that position constantly being vacant, year-in and year-out. Good luck to the new guy is all I can say. Then the local/site management, well that depends on the department. I won't go into details, but, simply put, I couldn't trust my own management. I just simply clocked in, do my work, minimize my contact with management and went home. Anyway, come here for the experience, but do NOT stay there long(a year at max), get your certifications and move on. This place has become a shell of what it once was.
