Strong benefits but some pay and scheduling issues
Pros
Good benefits including PTO, holidays, snow days, and vacations if you work in the public school system. Professional management with great communication. Trainings to increase pay. Paid RBT training plus supervision. Tuition help for aspiring BCBAs. Good pay. Opportunity to earn a $500 dollar bonus at end of school year if PTO/call out guidelines are followed.
Cons
Only paid on business days the 1st and the 15th of the month. Get a larger paycheck a few times a school year to compensate. Required to work additional hours/home case(s) to earn benefits which may or may not be something you want to do. If placed in a school, they may move you around and not train you. No summer pay like school employees get. Full time hours not guaranteed in summer but possible if you work at their rec locations. School contracts are offered very last minute (not company’s fault).
