Pros

- Transparent communication, honesty: the leadership doesn't shy away from keeping things transparent - be it celebratory moments or challenges or bad news, we're in the loop. - High expectations, but high level of trust & ownership: the bar is set high here, but so is the trust. It's the perfect blend for those who are keen to drive things and to evolve. - Big dreams: out-of-box, innovative mindset, focus on creating value and great work, and not settling for any less. It's all about adding value and perfection to our product. - Learning opportunities: cross-collaboration, challenging projects, mentoring, trainings and general growth mindset. - Frequent feedback: regular insights from managers. Biannual thourough reviews (performance and career discussions), coupled with 360-degree feedback. - Remote, yet connected: our work mode is remote first, but with occasional in-person meeting opportunities. - Diverse team: a great team, with all sorts of background and experience, from various countries and cultures. You can grow a lot not just professionally, but personally as well.

Cons

- Highly focused work & intensity: focused and high-quality work is embraced. It's invigorating for the growth-minded but might feel intense if you're looking for a more relaxed pace. - Startup life: dynamism/changes, ambiguity and uncertainty is embraced. It's not the usual 9-5 and it's not for everyone. - No hand-holding: if you thrive in top-down decision environments, this might feel a tad overwhelming. Here, ambiguity is cherished as an opportunity, and we believe that everyone can drive the change - be it at any level, or in any position. Titles are not important, but teamwork and building something great is.

Pros

I’m grateful to be part of such a strong team. Craft excels in recruiting outstanding employees, so the day-to-day work provides me constant learning opportunities. Our work is demanding yet rewarding, we are pushing hard to deliver major updates every 2-3 weeks, but this results a constant space to create and think creatively and after each release there is something that you can be proud of. This is truly a place where your efforts that you put into daily work will result tenfold reward. I have plenty of experience building multiple products, but this is the first place where I genuinely in love with the product, and the sense that you share this passion with the others is remarkable. Furthermore, the office environment - although Craft is a remote first company, we have an office in Budapest. The office is amazing (a contender for office of the year in Hungary). Regular brunches and activities, along with set in-office days (Tuesdays and Thursdays), foster face-to-face collaboration with team members in Hungary.

Cons

Craft may not be the right fit for those looking for a low-pressure, low-expectation job. The Team is working hard and fast and have the ability to make an impact. It will also not be a good fit for someone who is not proactive. In our remote first work environment, it’s essential to communicate personal challenges proactively. While team members are eager to assist, they can only help if they’re aware of the issues.

Pros

I joined the company well over a year ago, and i think startup life has aspects that people either love and thrive in, or it is simply not for them. One of the greatest things about Craft is the experience and excellence everyone has in their own field mixed with the motivation to create something really good. That is rare to find. - People aim to build an exceptional product and everyone has the drive in their own field to do their best, which is pretty inspiring. - Having ownership over your work and actually driving impact. - Frequent feedback besides the regular yearly reviews - Asking questions and reaching out for help is encouraged - Transparent culture with regular product, finance, and market updates from execs. - An early-stage startup without the crazy hyper-growth plans.

Cons

- There is a certain level of ownership needed that can be not everyone's cup of tea. - Not fully remote in Hungary: if you are accommodated for remote work, this could be a downside. - Not for people wanting to get by on 4 hours of work, but no overtime is needed. - There are things in change (eg. team setups can change according to product plans) and some processes are just shaping up, which is usual at this startup stage.
