Pros

- wonderful coworkers - 10am start and WFH - summer hours (Fridays half days) - generous PTO and benefits - annual bonus above average (10-15%) pre-COVID - great place to start your career - well known clients and ability to get hands-on experience - opportunity to grow within the company - annual retreats pre-COVID

Cons

- highly disorganized - under-staffed and under-compensated - lack of communication/ transparency from upper management - trying to implement too many changes within a short period of time - upper management seems very indecisive about business objectives and future of company - company and office structure is unorganized and no consistency within different offices and teams - HR seems to start too many projects and push deadlines without actionable next steps and findings - continuously cancelling town halls especially during COVID, leading to a loss of trust with employees. ex. not addressing round of layoffs during townhalls - current employees are being placed on new teams without being informed and employees’ viewpoint/professional goals aren’t taken into consideration - 2020 focus was on development and learning however there was no progress so 2021 has same goal - hiring high-level seniors after laying off account team members - new company structure doesn’t make sense (BU/GEO) - company is taking too long to acquire new business

Pros

You get to work with some really cool beauty and luxury brands who are always looking to do and test new things within search. The office environment is pretty relaxed - hours are 10am-6pm and in the summer 930-6 and you get out at 2 on Fridays.

Cons

The teams here are very siloed so you are unable to learn from other people doing different things with their brands. It's very obvious from the way things are ran that the CEO is concerned about money and trying to cut costs - this means foregoing the use of 3rd party platforms like doubleclick, hiring an influx of interns instead of real entry level employees who will stick around after you train them. Additionally, the path of growth is a gray area here and I think this also has to do with money - account managers stay in this position for awhile and i'm not entirely sure what title promotion comes after this as well as salary (account managers here are hired with different levels of experience and different salaries so its very hard to say). There seems to be disorganization with some of the teams which I think has to do with the some peoples management style and lack or processes here. The work environment is also very lacking - the office is quiet 99% of the time and everyone keeps to themselves for the most part. The CEO is very far removed from the company - when they are in the office, their office door is always shut. He rarely attends work events and rarely engages employees in conversations.
