Pros

Adequate health insurance and some minor bonus incentives. Lots of overtime if you like that.

Cons

First off, the positive reviews on this page could not have come from anyone who actually works there or is telling the truth. I am only contributing this information here in hopes of sparing someone the agonizing experience of working for CoreSlab. Union Foreman and Leads to run the plant. If you are not part of this “Low Forehead Crew” forget about it. I immediately realized early on that any effort at continuous improvement was going to be a complete folly. The Foreman seem to be striving to take the company back to the Old West by making it one big macho fueled rodeo where an employee is only judged if they have a Brahma Bull sticker on the door of their pickup truck. I doubt any of them could even compose an intelligible written document of any kind. It was a total waste of my time working there. I still don’t understand why they even bothered requesting an improvement type candidate when filling the position. I would give zero stars if that were a choice.

Pros

Good people manage the company they mean well. That compliment is intended for the CEO, not the production management. Pay is fair.

Cons

They were not honest with me coming in. For one, they told me my insurance would kick in in two week that ended up being three months. They also don't pay holidays if you are there less than 90 days. They can't pay you an agreed upon salary amount if they omit holiday pay. If you are applying or accepting a job there you might want to clarify those details. They said they were interested in improving efficiency, Lean manufacturing and the like. Turns out they really don't know what they want. The office personnel are great, but the labor group really runs the show. If they don't want it, it's not going to happen. The management is afraid of losing foremen who are are keeping the company from improving by change. Also, be prepared for a lot of hours.
