Pros

There was no pros, nothing but crap

Cons

Whole culture built on how they're a large family and everyone cares so deeply for everyone, with the classics of flat structures and going for drinks with senior management regularly. It's all a face for poor management and horrible men Rapid hiring because they're doing so well, then oh oops we gotta fire over 100 people two weeks before christmas and a month before they bring in all the benefits they were promising for about a year. To then go on a continue to hire at the same rate and promote all over social media about how well they're doing. Huns, you didn't hit your sales target for 3 quarters which is why you had to do a redundancy. Also for woman, be care of some of the men in management positions. Some think they're proactive modern men but then say stuff like "I'm a red blooded man" to proceed and explain why it's okay to hit on woman in work even while married with kids. And those same men were inviting woman in junior positions to hotel rooms after work social events. You're career has no future in this company!

Pros

You can pay your mortgage with the salary you receive at the end of the month.

Cons

When an unprofitable company that relies solely on investments to keep their payroll going spends millions on a 5-year lease on an office space and a massive boat party in New York and then cuts 100+ people from the company right before Christmas; you have to start questioning the "leadership" team and their "experience". Working at Codat is like playing a very lame game of poker. Directors and Heads of departments are more concerned about their salary increases than what they deliver - turns out, if you play your cards right, you don't actually have to wait for the yearly salary review to get a pay rise! But keep it a secret, you wouldn't want your hard working team to get fairly compensated. Ask the People team about it. Empire building should probably be added to the list of their core company values, a prominent factor that led the company to hire pretentious and mediocre directors who I can't see being able to fight their way out of a wet paper bag. The management team is highly dysfunctional and a few in particular love to throw others under the bus. Very quick to blame but they will never own up to their own mistakes. Structure and support is lacking but they won't hesitate to criticize people behind their back, all the "leaders" that stayed at Codat after the redundancies are genuinely pathetic and sad. Massive drinking culture where the CTO will push people to head to the pub and start rounds of shots at the expense of the company's investor money, this will happen on a daily basis. There's also blatant nepotism in the company where friends and family are being massively favored (higher salary/equity packages offered, quick growth in company). During the redundancy meeting, our great self-absorbed CEO, went on a long speech of what I like to call "the ego speech" where he tried to convince everyone that he was the best person to manage the company because "I am the one that had the idea first" (no joke) Overall, if you're looking to join Codat only do so if you're title is Director level or above - or else you might end up being your manager's scapegoat.

Pros

They are really good at making you feel like they care about you, but when it really matters, they don't. So there are no pros!

Cons

I worked so hard for Codat, I loved the company and the people and then after around 18 months, they decided to make things really hard for me and push me out of the business. A few months later, they make 100 people redundant. I can only imagine it was easier to push some more vulnerable people out of the business when they could to save some pennies. It's so hurtful to work really hard and in the end, your reward is no thanks and to say, we don't want you anymore so we are going to make life really hard for you. Codat was the worst company I joined, a big regret! Don't fall for their lies!! WARNING - Ladies, if you are planning to start a family, don't do it at Codat. They will decide that they need people that can dedicate all their time to the company and push you out....which is discrimination!
