      Pros

      Good salary. Plenty of opportunities to up skill and rise in company. The pros depend on the branch or franchise. My franchise had no pros at all.

      Cons

      Management care only about money. They will deny vacation time, take advantage of every second. Tell you it's your duty to help with marketing days and expect you to work for free on Saturdays. If you stand up for yourself in any way they will reduce your hours. They take advantage of teachers who are new to Korea.

      Awesome students Nice tech in the classrooms Good location

      Cons

      Poor teachers' accommodation Overly heavy course load for students Poor communication between Korean and foreign teachers Academic progress is designed to please parents, not further students' development - this is a product, not an educational environment Exponential increase in teachers' workload from start of contract to finish Plenty of busy work on top of a good deal of curriculum planning, marking, and general admin for teachers Lack of support from middle management Not much room for advancement (monetary or otherwise)

      Pros

      -Lots of other foreign teachers -Great use of Smartboards and technology in the classroom -Most teaching material is provided -Good Location -Amazing students

      Cons

      -It took them 2 months to create a bank account and pay me. After 3 months I was finally given health insurance. -Management is unprofessional, insulting, and harassment is commonplace. I was forced to take out my phone and record interactions and avoided employers due to their tempers. The work environment was disrespectful. -Very high turnover rate -There was not enough time to eat lunch (we have to prep food for the students during our short lunch break). -No sick days for anyone; students come to school very sick and aren't sent home. -Poor communication
