Pros

It was very easy to get a job here. They'll take pretty much anybody who can speak English. Scheduling was relatively flexible.

Cons

Your salary is directly tied to the number of subscriptions you can push on unsuspecting business owners. Salespeople are given very little information about the products they are selling and even less about who they are selling them to. Management didn't even seem to stand behind their products.

Pros

none at all unless you meet the quota

Cons

It appears that this would be a good place but it turns out to be just another boiler room with 15 people scrunched in little cubicles and loud blaring music all on the phones trying to meet their quota of magazine prescriptions. They do sell a lot but ..................

Pros

Relatively short work week. We work 7am to 230 pm most days and have Friday off. Everything depends on hitting the company goal. If it's hit by 230 pm Thursday, everyone gets an extra bonus on their paycheck. Cash bonuses given for making certain sales goals, sometimes daily. The owner brings in lunch for us at least 3 to 4 times per month and provides snacks and drinks for us as reward for meeting weekly sales goals. Paid sick leave and vacation for full time employees (full time here is only 28 to 32 hours per week contingent on meeting minimum sales and hour goals) An escalating pay scale which greatly rewards consistency and productivity over time. There is no other job you can get right now, I guarantee you, where you will make the kind of money you can earn at Cascade if you're willing to learn and work hard in 28 to 30 hours per week. Not a chance. They reward consistency, stability and performance. Average reps make $18+ per hour after their rookie training is over. TOP reps make much more than that (my rate this week was $30.5/hr) Very convenient location in the University District, close to many major bus lines. Great people to work with, from the admin department to management, and fellow sales reps as well. Weekly paychecks. You will receive a paycheck 2 weeks after your first week is over. Most jobs will make you wait longer than that. 30 years in the business so they know what they are doing and are committed to treating both their employees and customers as well as possible. Lastly, managers truly care about us employees and do everything they can to have our back whenever possible.

Cons

Sedentary job so you have to make sure you're getting your exercise. Lots of talking so you have to keep hydrated - bring your own water bottle which you can fill in the sparkling cold water cooler that is provided. There are not a lot of negatives to this job if you like to talk, follow instructions, learn how to read a script and not "do your own thing" because you "know better"...do it the right way and you will make money.
