The management here is beyond dysfunctional and toxic. The store leadership and HR all seem more interested in covering for each other and maintaining a tight-knit, biased circle than actually supporting the staff. The rules are applied unequally, with favoritism playing a huge role. The same actions by one person can be brushed off as “no big deal,” while another person can be fired for the exact same behavior.
HR is complicit in this toxic culture, essentially acting as a shield for the leadership team rather than a resource for employees. They cover up issues and make sure the people in charge are never held accountable for their actions. I’ve never worked in a more toxic environment where manipulation, gaslighting, and unequal treatment are the norm rather than the exception.
Despite multiple employees leaving for the same reasons, corporate seems completely unaware - or simply uninterested - in addressing the underlying problems. I heard the previous assistant manager left, and a new one came in who seems competent and fair, but I’m doubtful they’ll be able to change much in a place that runs like a dictatorship.
If you’re thinking about applying here, be prepared for an extremely high turnover rate and a work environment that thrives on drama and unfair treatment. Corporate really needs to step in before this place becomes completely unmanageable.
