Pros

-Occasional snacks provided but beverages are always stocked. -During the "Busy Season" plenty of opportunity for OT. -Owner of the company (Ward) is a kind gentleman and is the most accessible manger in the office.

Cons

-General Manager only has time to listen to a handful of employees, while the rest are treated like peons. If you are not a department head she doesn't have time for you. -Rules don't apply to everyone in the office. Certain departments are free to do what they want, when they want. The others are ridden hard and scrutinized for taking breaks and making a single mistake. There is a lot of preferential treatment to the "longer tenured" employees instead of equal treatment all around. -New management doesn't fit well with the team dynamic, she is a micro manager that sets strict rules and doesn't follow them herself (always late) nor can she do the job she is the manager of. -The workload is very unbalanced and the pay is not competitive. -During the "off-season" which is three quarters of the year (Jan thru Sept) there is next to nothing to do. Days are slower than watching paint dry. -On the flip side the "Busy season" is extremely busy and the office is overrun by temporary employees that are for the most part not equipped with experience nor skill set needed for the job. This Makes the workload for the permanent employees extra heavy. -No structure in the management team. Every customer service representative and graphic production artist is given the title of "supervisor" making the chain of command confusing and a hassle to go through. -Little to no room for advancement/growth.

Pros

For a small company, they do have a decent benefits package. It is nice to be able to wear business casual clothing or casual clothing to work. (Jeans are ok.) The customer service manager is clued in to employee issues and really tries to do a good job and take care of those under her. In face, while the customer service employees are paid the least in the company, they are the best cared for.

Cons

There is an attitude of passive aggressiveness that starts from the top management and works its way down the ladder. Decisions are not made from looking at facts and metrics, they are made because one of the management "feels" this is the best way to go. I think the most frustrating thing was, the management often shifted gears on a daily basis based upon how they felt for the day. Also, the top management had their hands in everyone's pot instead of allowing the people they hired to do their job.

Pros

I'm sad that I left this company! I was happy working here. My manager was really nice to work with. I felt cared about both personally and professionally, the work I did was purposeful and rewarding, and management was happy to provide me opportunities to learn and expand my skill sets into new areas. I was trusted to own my projects and do my work without being micro-managed, which I really appreciated. I personally never felt overwhelmed or stressed. Work life balance was great. This company moves at a steady pace and is responsive to your feedback. I loved the small family feel of this company, everyone works well together, is very polite and professional, and cares about each other. I also really appreciated how they handled the covid year in 2020. They kept us updated every week and assured us that our jobs were safe and how they were navigating it. Great health benefits. Average tenure is 5-10+ years.

Cons

Career growth is definitely possible here, but because it's a smaller company, there isn't a set career path laid out for you from the start, so if you want growth you'll need to talk with your manager about your career goals. You (the employee) might need to be the one to proactively start the conversation on that.
