Low pay.
They undervalue your work.
Performance is based on your seniority.
There are no leaders. People in management or high position are basically just workers who have been there a long time. They get the work and outsource it. That's their real job.
There is little to no incentive to be motivated at work as they never promote or recognize your work. They only nitpick little mistakes.
They think you are a replaceable commodity, not a person.
I worked for this company for a long time and took on more work each year as people left. This work is normally above my pay grade (the person who left is higher level than me). Instead of giving me some kind of appreciation for covering the work each time, they would rehire a person above me and reassign me another job. You would think they would want to promote within or develop their workers. I can't leave for my own reasons.
They don't help you with development. They want you to do as you are told and never learn too much to replace them.
They are so backwards in their work. Senior management never learns about new technology, new methods, new techniques. They don't adapt to the times. Everything is old school.
If HR is not assertive about who can be hired, they will only hire people senior management think they can "control". They want people that just listen and don't think for themselves. They want people who cannot leave for a better job outside. They want people who won't speak up about injustice.
