Be warned some of the employees there are extremely toxic. Yelling at coworkers. Making sexist, racist and homophonic jokes.

Pros

You get the chance to set up interviews with people all over the world.

Cons

It is 100% the most toxic environment I have ever worked in. Getting screamed at and belittled seems to be a norm within CTV News Channel and when you bring up an issue that happened, your manager just tells you “that’s just the way it is.” Over the years HR has done nothing about the complaints and it gives validation to all the behaviour in the news room. It is extremely common that you will not be able to take a lunch, or even a washroom break and will. As for one of the country’s largest news station, it is extremely disappointing that it is one of the worst places I have ever worked.
