      Don't expect timely salary reviews! Terrible culture

      Some great people at COSOL

      COSOL is the wild west, hanging onto days past with a boys club, ALOT of mid-week beverages in the CEOs office, a general blame culture, inability to make decisions, and slow/no action on anything that involves benefits or remuneration. Recently the COO has encouraged some staff be treated like second class citizens and excluded from company events. Im general the COO provides a lot of lip service buy very very little action or actual work other than an occasional flurry of emails and finger pointing . Pay rises are 3-5 years overdue. Asking will get you nowhere and will likely have you shown the door!

      Is setting up a team on a whim sign of a mature Company?

      Sounded like an attractive, innovative and progressive company

      Cons

      Just how much experience have they had signing up for projects? Who sets up a team before the Statement of Work is even signed? Outcome of that is inevitable...lots of talented people left out in the cold

      Some great staff members at COSOL

      Cons

      Lack of honesty is the main problem here. Closed culture at the top, boys' club, effort not recognised or rewarded, nepotism rife, refusal to invest in people or team development leading to crunch working hours, management has head-in-sand approach to problems. Cowboy attitude towards generally accepted rules. Some very poor decisions have sapped morale such as disinviting contractors from staff Christmas parties. A poor experience and not one to be recommended.
