Pros

There are opportunities at times to learn the financing business in several industries and countries. I have lived and worked with customers and Dealers all over the world.

Cons

The company has decided to penalize long-time experienced employees by promoting new college hires that have been put in a college rotation program. Several long-time employees were given early retirement and let go to save on costs. The company does not follow its values in actions when it comes to employee retention and satisfaction.

Pros

Good benefits, good pay, and good office.

Cons

Lack of vision and too much red tape. You HAVE to be part of the very close network of individuals to get promoted. Not a company for mid-career hires. They value more the years you have been at Cat than your knowledge and expertise.

Pros

Great pay and benefits, massive 401k match, sinfully good health insurance, fun company events like United Way Week, volunteer opportunities. The company is full of overpaid, happy people. This makes it generally a nicer place to work.

Cons

-Over 2 straight years of "cost cutting" while CEO still makes $10+ Million a year. Raises and departmental budgets have been slashed. Almost no money for travel, training or development, bonus checks are smaller than ever. -Glacial career development. Top talent is recruited from business schools and then placed in customer service, collections, data entry roles for the first 3-5 years of their career. -Lack of thought diversity- generally old, white, male mentality for corporate culture. -Forget about casual Fridays, flexible schedules, work from home options, or leaving early before holidays. This workplace is run by white men with a very traditional outlook on work. All subordinates fall in line under this antiquated mindset in order to protect their bloated salaries. No one speaks their mind or drives innovation within the corporate culture.
