Pros

The perception is absolutely flawed

Cons

Unrealistic timelines, bullying and serious sexual assault from senior management. When the company decides they want you out they will fabricate in-store issues to put undue pressure on you which will inevitably lead to your dismissal. Constant pressure to reduce labour costings which creates an unsafe work environment. Zero work life balance.

Pros

Free food Great coworkers Diverse staff

Cons

Fake abusive management Favouritism Lack of growth Low wage Unpaid breaks High stress environment Honestly more cons than pros, the staff is the only good part of the job, higher management is corrupt so any problems brought up fall on deaf ears, save yourself

Pros

Free food & drink for staff.

Cons

Terrible upper management ranging from Area Managers to store managers. It’s a cult - if you don’t live for Boojum you are seen as not a team player. Involved in multiple groups for messaging and constantly hounded on days off by the constant messages. ZERO WORK LIFE BALANCE. No progression. If there is any progression it is based on length of service within the company rather than ability and merit. If you want to succeed or progress be with them for at least 3-5 years. It’s a gossip rich culture. Everyone talks about each other and other stores. Real lack of discipline / management within the company for each store. Each store is independent with there own management team but have to report everything back. When issues are reported nothing is done (unless you are not liked then it’s an issue - if liked issues are swept under the rug). Pay scales openly discussed which causes frictions within the teams. Boojum hire for bodies ( as in to have people) rather than looking at the skills and requirements necessary. So in essence they hire anyone and then when the inevitable problems occur to try and get rid of the staff it’s near to impossible. Creates animosity within the stores for the other team members. High turnover of staff due to what’s mentioned above. Favouritism from higher management to select stores and staff members. It’s not an equal playing field. False promises - told one thing and promised for it to never come through. There’s a few more cons but they are the main ones.
