Horrible ownership. Horrible management. Horrible turnover rate. Horrible treatment of employees. Horrible benefits. Pay for your own equipment and gas and insurance? Horrible all the way around.

Pros

Company pays you weekly .

Cons

There are many positive things to be said for working at family owned business, yet at Blue Science, the high turnover rate, stressful workplace and family based employment decisions does not make this company a positive work environment. I worked for Blue Science from 08/2018 to 02/28/19 and during my short time there, I had 3 different customer service managers, about 28 employees were either fired or resigned, with 7 of them being CS & Sales reps. This resulted in me working an average of 50-53 hours in the office and carrying the customer service cell phone - checking voicemails after hours and weekends requiring me to write down the minutes the tasks lasted during my time at home. Also, instead of addressing discrepancies through professional coaching and counseling, there were situations that family members in management positions would raise their voices and speak in a condescending tone. In my personal experience, my termination of employment started with one of the department managers raising his voice at me for a billing mistake I made. I disagreed with his approach and expressed my position while also apologizing for my mistake. THE FOLLOWING DAY I WAS LET GO. My experience was only one of many others that also lead to other problems and resignations. My first red flag should have been when upper management changed my compensation from salary to an hourly rate equal to $3+ less than my annual compensation. I decided to stay hoping things would improve but instead I ended up feeling over worked, unappreciated, underpaid and terminated!
