Pros

benefits, entry level, above-average pay, insane amounts of PTO

Cons

Opportunities to advance, Management doesn't really care if you stay or leave, They are constantly increasing the workload and never increasing pay, they do not offer raises or bonuses and they say they wont in the foreseeable future, lots of PTO but it's difficult to actually take it and also finish the ridiculous amounts of paperwork required, clients are typically very difficult

Pros

I love my career. I love what it allows me to do to help others. My co-workers are great.

Cons

It's social service work. None of us are getting rich. However, full medical insurance, a traditional pension, and flexible PTO are hard to beat nowadays.

Pros

Great co-workers, which truly make the environment at the agency ten times better! The ability to help others is another plus.

Cons

Lousy management, constant changes, low pay, policies only apply to certain employees, over worked, mislead on the workload.! Lower level employees are not treated with respect.

Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare Response

Thank you for reviewing us! I am so glad to hear that you had great co-workers and enjoyed supporting individuals in need. I am sorry to hear that you did not feel that the work load was accurately reflected during the interview process. In response to feedback, our managers share the job description during the interview process, and we are working to integrate realistic previews of the job duties in the job postings. While some smaller agencies can provide a higher hourly pay rate, as a non-profit community service board, we do offer many other perks, including high quality benefits, flexible schedules, and training opportunities. We do offer a choice between two health insurance plans, a base plan and a premium plan, with very affordable prices for employee coverage. We also offer Paid Time Off, retirement, life insurance, and disability coverage. We read all reviews carefully and we want to improve the employee experience, as our employees provide so much support to our community. Thank you again! – Michelle Warren, Human Resources
