Pros

Not much, mostly clients and some colleagues.

Cons

- Favouritism is very strong there (check the above reviews as well), unless you're considered a core employee, you'll never get a promotion or pay rise. You'll be promised, lied to, fed tasks to get there but nothing will come out of it. Promotions and pay rises are for the select few. And that's why most people leave. - The managers will encourage you to share ideas but don't be surprised when they're praised for them and you're not even given any credit. - When redundancies were happening, they got rid of all SEO who were foreigners first. All of them were more experienced than the new hires they kept. - Training and personal development is another fake promise, you'll learn more from a random podcast.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and for working with us for over three years. We genuinely regret to hear that you felt unsupported in certain areas during your time here. While we don’t recognise the culture you’ve described, we take feedback seriously and we always look to understand where someone’s experience may have fallen short of our intentions. To address a few of the points you’ve raised: - Until recently, we used an Employer of Record (EOR) for international employees, which wasn’t sustainable in the long term due to several factors, including rising costs. As part of our commitment to supporting people through change, we also offered practical help such as CV guidance, a job vacancy board, interview preparation and the gifting of equipment where appropriate, to ensure every departing team member was treated with care and respect. We understand this may have caused frustration, and how organisational changes can feel from the outside, but as a business decision to change our resourcing strategy, we want to reassure you that decisions are based solely on role requirements and business needs. - We have progression plan templates in place; our aim is to promote team members based on completion of these. As with all personal development, these do require drive and input from individuals, alongside alignment with both personal and business goals. We invest heavily in learning opportunities, but we appreciate that experiences can vary. Your feedback helps us identify where our approach may not have been as visible or impactful as intended. -We value recognition at Blue Array, where most of it comes from peers, whether through awards, internal shoutouts, or employee of the month, ensuring everyone’s contributions are acknowledged by those who work with them daily. - Simon and the leadership team remain actively engaged in the business, and we will continue working to ensure visibility and clarity across all teams. Your feedback is important to us as we work to improve how we support every team member. If you’d like to discuss your experience further, we’d welcome the opportunity to have a private conversation. We wish you all the success in your future endeavours. — Blue Array People and Culture Team

Great people, but incredibly stressful! Favouritism is rife

Pros

Great people. Variety of different client accounts to work on, and great learning opportunities (especially for people earlier on in their careers).

Cons

High pressure, stressful environment. Working late and on weekends is normal. Favoritism is a problem too, with managers getting promoted into senior manager roles & director roles with zero people management skills.

Hi! And thanks for the feedback! We believe that a ‘shared vision and identity’ creates the freedom to be more. And growth requires feedback loops. I’m grateful that you shared this with us. Thank you also for the kind words about our team, client accounts and our training facilities here at Blue Array. The entire team has worked very hard to craft an outstanding culture, we really enjoy each other's company and will continue to bond with each other in our many social activities throughout the year. Listening is high on our list of priorities, we are committed to being excellent listeners here at Blue Array and we intend to continue with this focus to aid continuous improvement. On that note - we appreciate your input on workloads and favouritism, as you know we introduced new software in 2022 which aids all of our employees to manage their time and workload effectively. We have received great feedback on this system and will continue to monitor all employees' work-life balance. We believe there are many initiatives to enable harmony for our team members, including a shorter than average 35 hour week, just a 70% billable utilisation rate and empowerment to manage their own diaries to work at times most suited to them - we actively discourage weekend work and is in no way required or glamorised. We have robust processes in place to avoid bias, no one individual has the authority to make a people decision. Calibration sessions are held bi-annually with a panel of senior leaders, led by the People team, to ensure consistency across the different teams and managers. We continually invest in our line managers for them to create the best possible version of themselves as both client managers and line managers. We held a line manager training workshop last year and have recently introduced an inhouse coaching system which creates a safe space for our line managers to grow in areas they want to improve with each other. Thank you again for your feedback

Pros

The people, the benefits and the flexibility, it truly is a great place to work. B Corp focus, people and planet above profit many actions that prove this isn't just a tick box exercise Progression opportunities a plenty Only 70% billable targets allowing PDP time for progression

Cons

There are lots of bright people, experts in their field, and it can be hard to carve out a specialism within SEO. That said, it's great for learning as you're always helping each other grow. Multiple clients and verticals can be tough to manage, although does prevent boredom
