-Great benefits
-Work-life balance.
-Small company that provides plenty of opportunities to learn new skills.
-CEO is very smart and hardworking. Open to teaching and explaining different design decisions.
Cons
-Like for most small companies, there is not much room for advancement but the opportunity to learn plenty of new skills.
I had a great time working with Biolytic. I transitioned to this company after leaving a very bureaucratic culture at a 15k+ employee company and it was very refreshing. Some of my favorite things about Biolytic:
1. Hardworking and friendly team
2. Great mentorship from the leadership team
3. Amazing cookoffs!
4. The team here generally cares about your well-being and happiness
Cons
When resources were limited, we had to take on extra responsibilities to help out. While this may be be a deterrent for some, you can see it as opportunities to learn new skills.
- friendly company with friendly team and fun outings, events, and BBQs
- great work/life balance, most weeks are 40-45 hours. stable schedule
- slowly innovating and redesigning, has a good outlook in the near future
- good place to learn skills for inventory management, assembly, CAD, process management, hardware/software engineering
Cons
- not much professional growth; no raises, promotions, or employee evaluations during my 3 years there
- management is more reactive than proactive
- open to new ideas, but a lot of times will not execute
