Pros

Coworkers are nice. Benefits, pto, matching 401k

Cons

There are several serious issues here. 1. CEO hires his friends for executive positions. They in turn hire their children. Nepotism at its finest. 2. CEO does not keep his word. At meetings and dinners he’s told us “we are going to make so much money” and “everyone is going to get a raise this year”. Yet, when the comp plan came out, in March and was retroactive to January, we did not get a raise. Not even a COLA. In fact, he cut our commission percentage by 30% and instituted a monthly quota minimum in order to get paid commissions. During the highest period of inflation, he cut our pay and access to it. You could sell a million dollars and not get paid a cent of commission. It appears that the “we” he was referring to was himself and his executive buddies. The only valued employees are those at the very top. The rest are treated like ungrateful unqualified leaches. Long standing reps are paid significantly less than the new hires. There is absolutely no reward for tenure. The majority are looking for better employment elsewhere. Read the reviews, they are accurate.

HORRIBLE leadership team

Pros

Great, caring employees (outside of leadership team)

Cons

I've been at this company through several mergers and changes of leadership. I'm not sure the company will survive the current leadership team, however. They love to brag about themselves, but they don't know anything about our industry and are driving our business into the ground. In the two years they have run the company, it has become an "old boys club" of cronyism where every upper level position is filled with one of the CEO or COO's old buddies, not someone who knows what they are doing. There is no meritocracy anymore, and no room to move up for those who are working hard. Senior level positions aren't posted, just filled with another good ole boy with a big salary, and there is no money for raises for the people actually working. Also, because the new leaders don't have any knowledge about the industry, they make bad decisions that have caused our sales to drop at a time when there is unprecedented technology money in grants to be had. It's sad to see a company I have cared about in this shape, but leadership this bad can ruin a good place. If you're considering this place, keep looking. You won't be happy here.

Pros

Very relaxed work environment

Cons

They care nothing about their employees. You could be there for 10 years and be gone tomorrow. Extremely high turn over rate. They constantly fire permanent employees to hire temps to save money. Absolutely no loyalty at all. Upper management don't know how to run a business, which is why the company is suffering tremendously.
