Pros

- Professional environment - Vehicle allowance - Work attire provided - Great hours - Great Manager

Cons

- Uncooperative hiring managers with extreme anger tendencies. - No dedicated workspace or office which often led to being booted from my only work area, to consistently moving around to different areas throughout the day, which affected interviews. - No remote options available. - Admin did not want anything to do with new hire tasks.

Pros

Bergelectric as a company- mostly good. Never had a complaint about compensation or benefits. Opportunity to meet and work with great & talented individuals.

Cons

Bergelectric Austin Region is a hot mess. Every few months- management goes on a purge and fires people without notice- Friday morning they start calling people into the conference room or meet them at their office and inform them it is their last day with the company, and escort them out as if they are criminals. On most occasions people are completed blindsided- having received a raise and bonus, and never having been reprimanded or written up. These days, the entire office is on pins and needles, we all have seen it happen time and again, and basically hold our breath all day wondering if we are next. The worst part is, management never informs the team of why they let people go, or reassure the rest of the team that their position is safe. One of the VPs locks himself in his office and avoids eye contact if he steps out to use the restroom or get some water, while the VP over the Austin Region, walks around trying to make small talk with no remorse, or empathy for the individuals he has just fired seemingly out of the blue. Come the following week or bi-weekly staff meeting, they will only mention a member of the team is no longer with the company if they have to, and just pass along the workload to the people left behind. They have in the past assigned projects left without a PM to another PM- like- oh BTW- you need to take over this project along with all the other projects you are juggling. Bergelectric has their employees fill out a self-evaluation twice a year, management is supposed to review it, add comments and then meet with employees and discuss the review. There are several people in the Austin office that have been there for over 7 years that have NEVER received a review from the VP or any member of management. Everything is a secret in that office- they got rid of the receptionist, never mentioned anything or gave a reason why, then just added her workload to the office manager- who was disposed of a year later. In 2022 they didn't hand out bonuses- the entire office expected one, as they have received one most every previous year, management never informed the team that there would be no bonuses for the year, never explained why or anything- people finally got tired of waiting for the bonus and just gave up.  That is a perfect example of how management runs the office. Management has a list of people they like- and if you aren't on that list- rest assured you will eventually be on the chopping block, used as an escape goat for one of the MANY projects that have lost MILLIONS of dollars.  Bergelectric Austin region has no loyalty for employees- demoting individuals who have been with the team for over 17 years, but at least they got to keep their job, other individuals with more than 25 years experience are dropped like yesterday's thrash.  Bergelectric Austin VPs only look out for themselves.

Cons

Respect your employees and pay them accordingly. I worked 2 positions above me and 2 positions below . Can't be an assistant manager when there is no manager at all. Who was I assistanting??The work load was insanely demanding. Upper management did not care. Also dont give 2 weeks notice they will fire you

Pros

They have a lot of big jobs and backlog. Ops managers are great.

Cons

Employees are underappreciated and upper management's mentality is "you should be happy to be working there". Moral is extremely low.
