Business is strong, but culture and stability suffer

Pros

Good business model, business leaders are great and they know to run the show.

Cons

The culture has been impacted a lot for the last 1 year or more. Worst HR policies, - no work from anywhere policy, no stability, no trust and the growth is questioned. They will make sure that your career is been compromised and bring people from outside for more money. The culture of the company cannot go down than what it is in 2026. Managers have become micro managerial and make you feel less empowered in your role. Leadership changes are constant and the company has adapted hire and fire culture. Employees go through grind when the company really needs them and their extra hours, but when the employee asks for levy at some point then the company rules and regulations pop up. No courtesy or humility left.

Toxic Management, Discrimination, and Lack of Transparency

Pros

• Some talented colleagues in finance and IT teams. • Exposure to international reporting and systems.

Cons

• The company heavily relies on offshore teams in Pakistan and India for core finance and IT functions but fails to acknowledge their contribution or even their existence publicly. • Management culture feels outdated — decisions are top-down, and questioning them is not welcomed. • There’s a clear lack of diversity and inclusion; favoritism and bias are visible in hiring and firing decisions. • No proper grievance or performance management process — employees can be terminated without transparent justification. • Nepotism seems to influence several key decisions.

Pros

The team culture is amazing — genuinely great people across all levels and geographies. Everyone’s approachable, collaborative, and easy to work with. Tons of learning opportunities. You’re encouraged to share ideas, take initiative, and stretch yourself, regardless of your title. You’re not just a number here. Your input matters and you feel heard. Managers and directors are super supportive and invested in your development — they want you to grow and take ownership. There’s long-term potential as the company grows. Some folks have even done secondments with operating companies, and leadership is very open to that. Senior leadership, including the CEO, is transparent, approachable, and genuinely interested in getting to know the team. That kind of openness is rare and great to see the culture has remained intact despite the growth.

Cons

None at the moment, just the nature of M&A where you can have one-off long days or long-week during a live diligence process. However the team has scaled rapidly, so the work life balance is much better now. Additionally, no where as intense hours as investment banking/other finance roles. Team cares about your overall well being.

Thank you so much for this thoughtful and generous review! It’s incredibly rewarding to hear that you’re experiencing the collaborative, inclusive, and growth-minded culture we work hard to foster at Banyan. We’re especially glad you’ve felt supported by your managers and leadership your development, voice, and well-being truly matter to us. It's great to hear that our continued growth hasn't diluted the sense of connection and transparency across the team, and that opportunities like secondments and cross-functional exposure are having a meaningful impact. We also appreciate your realistic note about the nature of M&A work. It’s true that there are intense moments during live deals, and we’re glad to hear that the team’s expansion has helped make the overall balance more sustainable. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience it’s great to see our values reflected in how the team is showing up for one another!
