Pros

Honestly, there is literally nothing good about this place.

Cons

I worked for Bango for 6 months and can truly say one of the worst experiences of my life. I was sold a dream by the recruitment agency and by the manager at that time and subsequently left a good-paying job and lifestyle. I knew the risks that I would be getting a pay cut and would be working in shifts including night shifts which honestly wasn't the worst thing about this place. Within the first two weeks, I could see I made a mistake. I was assured that working here would be a hands-on apprentice-style education where I would be shown the layout of the Bango platform by someone who was experienced with its understandings. Unfortunately, I was given I folder to read for two weeks which none of it was related, made any sense and was out of date. When asking for help no one was willing too and ultimately alienated you to be left on your own. Important steps to help integrate you into the company through and professional and social basis - just never happened. I wasn't a bad employee, I was polite, courteous and got on with it and never moaned. I was always on time and never missed a shift when many colleagues did and always have to cover. I even served a two week noticed when I didn't have too. I was committed to the team because we were understaffed, underpaid and undervalued. I was the highest-paid on my first line team at 16k... I didn't see it then but now looking back I spiralled into what was a dark depression and loneliness. Even now writing this I still feel the same anger and pain as I felt then and never truly have gotten over how tormenting that place was. The team and management made you feel like the low of the low in front of hundreds of other staff. Even when I left, not one person from my team said goodbye or wished me luck, not even the HR department bothered to see me out. I can appreciate that we all have bad experiences in the workplace and maybe I was just singled out but this is not the same. I hope writing this will give me some respite but if this convinces one person not to work here, I feel I have saved a life, that's how important this is to me. Trust me when I say this there are better places to work and did leave to go into what was a really good employer. But Bango is not one of them.

Pros

Work Colleagues - excellent and very supportive

Cons

Management Top management (esp CEO) Pay Benefits HR Summary: small company with 0 opportunities for career advancement. They can go to any extent to save £1. Company is performing poorly financially so they compensate by paying employees less, not promoting them AND not paying their dues upon resigning (happened with me). Top management is poor - they kick people out of teams and then promote less qualified employees to their position who have no clue what they are doing. Toxic culture and very poor management makes you want to switch to another company in no time. Wouldn’t recommend wasting your time with them.

Pros

Better than average benefits including headphones, Share Options and a fully stocked kitchen for snacks and drinks.

Cons

Despite "Bendy Time" there is something of an expectation that you will work whenever you are needed including the middle of the night, the weekend, while on holiday or out socialising. While some specific roles in the business receive an on call bonus this is not widespread and compensation is rarely forthcoming. Teams do not effectively collaborate and support from peers and leadership is not always forthcoming when asked for.
