Pros

free coffee, health insurance, gas card

Cons

they wont give you the right tools to do the job safely and correctly, they lie about bonuses and how much you will make, there are NO raises ever, and NO ONE gets bonuses, they are ran by a bunch of idiots and liars, buck passers, management is only concerned with making themselves look good and will change their story to suit their own agenda, they want you to load and unload ALL Equipment everyday, using dilapidated carts you will scan in your boxes each morning then take the same boxes out to your truck, half the boxes dont work, EVERY job you get WILL be completely different than the work order says, Comcast gives them the jobs no one else want,

Pros

None. I've noticed some reviews have included being given a work truck and gas card as pros but since you can't use your work truck off hours and the gas card for your own vehicle, i just view them as tools.

Cons

The three months I spent at Baker felt more like three years. In that short span of time two people quit and two were fired, so turnover is high and understandably so. Management is dishonest, incompetent and self serving. Expect to work between 60-75 hrs a week, so forget any kind of social life. Training is inadequate and the jobs you are given Time Warner in house doesn't want because there in low income and public housing areas. Pay is hourly with a chance to bonus if you complete a certain number of weekly units and meet Bakers BS metrics. In other words, don't expect to bonus out for your first few months or even longer. You will be charged for any lost or stolen equipment so be careful. One misplaced cable box can cost $500 or more and Baker will take every penny out of your paycheck, even though all equipment is insured. As for equipment, the boxes are never programmed at the shop so a lot of time is wasted on job sites waiting for modems and cable boxes to download software, making your day longer. There are no paid holidays and benefits are mediocre. Take this job if you are in desperate of a paycheck but get out once you find a better job, which should be easy, like I did.
