Cons

Unfortunately, my experience at BOUNCE was extremely disappointing and damaging. There were multiple red flags from the outset that I wish I had taken seriously. During the interview process, the CMO openly bad-mouthed the previous marketing team, which should have been a warning sign. Shortly after hiring an entirely new team, staff began being let go in quick succession — one within six weeks, two more a few months later, and another soon after. One team member resigned due to how unhealthy the environment had become. The constant turnover created fear, instability, and a lack of trust across the team. The role was advertised as hybrid, yet the entire marketing team was blindsided by a sudden mandate to work five days a week in the office. This was not communicated transparently or consistently across the business — it was enforced within the marketing team but not openly discussed elsewhere. If you worked from home (even previously agreed days) or took sick leave, you were made to feel guilty, judged, or iced out. The attitude toward flexibility and wellbeing was punitive and outdated. Leadership was virtually non-existent. Roles and responsibilities were unclear — there were no proper job descriptions, and at one point the team was told to write their own. Any lack of clarity or delivery was blamed entirely on the team, despite the absence of direction, structure, or support from leadership. The environment was highly reactive, with priorities constantly changing — work could be revised multiple times right up until launch, making it almost impossible to do meaningful or strategic work. The culture itself was toxic. Communication was rude and unprofessional, with behaviour that felt narcissistic, misogynistic, and dismissive. Psychological safety did not exist. You were expected to perform happiness and enthusiasm at all times — including exaggerated greetings to HR — and if you didn’t, you were labelled “negative” and quietly excluded. Overall, this is an organisation with serious leadership and cultural issues. If you value professionalism, clarity, flexibility, and basic respect, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This place is not worth the stress, instability, or impact on your wellbeing.
