Pros

There is literally nothing redeeming about this place. The only pro I can think of was being able to quit this job.

Cons

Terrible management. Disorganization. Poor compensation. Few to no opportunities to advance. Even if you did advance you would be working with insufferable people doing sad work that will make you question why you ever went to law school. Management does not value lower level employees. No value is put into developing a quality product. Driving sales is the number one priority and other functions are not valued. On top of BarBri itself being a truly awful company, the work is mostly bad. Getting berated by entitled, stressed law students is exhausting. Student complaints are only exacerbated due to Barbri's systematic disorganization and failure to adequately prepare for each bar season. Incompetence and failure to retain quality staff result in repeated mistakes in both course materials and putting on the course itself. As awful as the students can be, their complaints about the course are generally valid and well deserved, especially in light of the cost of the course. Worst of all, this place will do nothing for your resume. You don't gain any transferable skills and you'll basically blacklist yourself from ever practicing law. Salespeople here are the slimiest of the slimy, selling an overvalued product to a captive, vulnerable audience. This is where you come to work when no one else will hire you but you are drowning in student loan debt and have no other choice. Oh, and hours are only flexible if you're working as a grader. Otherwise you will work long hours and consistently work weekends during bar review. Depending on your position, a lot of travel may be involved.
