Pros
- Great opportunities to learn as a young engineer and touch flight hardware - Passionate, enthusiastic, and friendly coworkers - Small nimble teams means tons of ownership across a spectrum of multiple programs, quick decision turnarounds, lots of learning opportunities - Strong emphasis on automation to help scale the product - Strong technical rigor (despite what recent setbacks might indicate) - Numerous catered lunch options - Wins are celebrated company-wide - Competitive compensation: more than aerospace, less than FAANG - Great commute options
Cons
- Company practices scrum not agile (despite their assertions): be prepared for daily stand ups for all teams and as early as 8am for some - Schedules decoupled from reality leading to tons of constant pressure - Expect long hours and weekends for anything operations related - Confluence for all documentation is clunky and difficult - Middle managers are not people managers; they are heavily focused on their programs and not individual career growth
