Pros

Colleagues and members are supportive.

Cons

Leaders attempt to appear tough through layoffs and firings, but they often just need a scapegoat. Truthfully, this organization is LARPing its way through. Employees spend a lot of time talking about how toxic the work environment is, and members are waiting for the ball to drop.

Pros

Great workplace as far as working with other people. Depending on the person, they are willing to work with you on completing tasks and projects.

Cons

Horrible management style. Executive directors & chiefs silo the departments from each other. The CEO has the company do work summits to gather the employees to "work" together to accomplish the company's mission, but nothing actually gets done. The CEO says one thing but does another. Upper management claims to have an open-door policy and is there for employees, but the support is lacking. Management is unrealistic with the amount of work that needs to be done within a certain amount of time.

Pros

There’s a lot of autonomy and flexibility in how I approach my work, which is both empowering and motivating. The variety of responsibilities keeps things interesting—I'm rarely stuck doing the same thing every day. My direct supervisor is phenomenal: supportive, communicative, and genuinely makes me feel valued and respected. Work-life balance is pretty great; although, we work 8.75 hours Monday-Thursday, we get every other Friday off and for the other Fridays, we only work 7.5 hours.

Cons

The organization seems to struggle with focus and follow-through. Priorities shift rapidly. It’s not uncommon to be asked to drop one important project to chase a new “urgent” task, only to have both projects stall out when the next thing pops up. This can make it challenging to fully complete high-impact work or see initiatives through to the finish line.
