Absolute disgrace of a company

Pros

At the start, they can inspire and motivate you but it's for all the wrong reasons. You can also advance in the business, but it basically is done through taking advantage of others. I had the advantage of working in the charity division so I did get to raise money for good causes while also meeting with generally lovely people on the field.

Cons

Observing this office from the outside, it looks like an amazing place to work. There's music playing, everyone's smiling and talking about "highrolling" and all the benefits that come along with it but that's far from the truth. It's all a mask to hide what this company is really all about and aids their brainwashing policy. The "owners" will turn their backs on you the minute you decide you can't live on the promise of making "as much as you want". My average earnings were under €200 every week despite the 60+ hours I was working. Every word you say is censored - if it's anything negative, you'll be pulled up for not having the right attitude and affecting the sales of others in the office. Forget about having a life outside of the office because you will be guilted into working 12 hours a day, 5 days a week AS WELL as 8 hours every Saturday. They tell you "it's your own business, you can make your own decisions" but this only applies as long as you're making the decisions they want you to make. They ridicule the idea of people leaving to return to non-commission jobs and once they're gone, the whole idea of "honesty, integrity and loyalty" towards your peers vanishes. They indirectly target people in the morning meetings in the most passive-aggressive manner and make you feel like every move you make is being watched, both inside the office and outside. As a girl, you will face both blatant and behind-your-back sexism which, in a male-dominated company, only faces further ridiculing when you highlight it. Went into this with job with a completely open mind and left it feeling cheated.

Pros

There isn't one single redeeming feature

Cons

Appco is a proponent of multi level marketing. It is a pyramid scheme designed to prey on the naive and vulnerable. It would be OK if they were transparent that the 'employees' (actually independent contractors) could participate just to give it their best shot at making money. But no. There is a toxic, cult-like environment where each individual is led to believe they can make it to the top. The obsession with money is sickening. I could write 10,000 words on why this is the most abhorrent organisation I've ever had the displeasure or dealing with but in classic Appco fashion, they will have pre-made answers. "The job wasn't for you", "Your negative experience is not representative of the wider business" or "We're a legitimate business and clear in how we operate". The blame will be put at the feet of the "neg heads" but the truth is, Appco are best-in-class mind control and manipulation. I implore any of the legitimate charities using Appco's services to sever their contract. Any results they generate for you is at the expense of human suffering, and I am not laying this on for dramatic effect. You are 100% better off unemployed than touching these guys.

Pros

Uncapped commission only with opportunity to grow- if by uncapped they make it so the bet you’ll do is 350 per week on average for a 90 hr week Made illegal in Ireland for underpaying staff They make it out that you’re self employed Male staff members are always recruiting female just to make advances Senior staff use their position to do so

Cons

False hopes You’ll be brought in and sold a pot of gold that’ll turn out to be the roughest job you’ll ever have

Thanks for your feedback - however, I think you’ve got us confused with another independent sales company as Appco doesn't have commission based jobs and all jobs are salary and office based.
