1. New stuff is being built in the Lending, KYC and Data Engineering teams. 2. AI adoption.
Cons
1. Silent layoffs 2. Office politics 3. Toxic and intolerant managers. 4. Poor engineering: Staff engineers are less skilled because they are only being promoted for the projects delivered and not their quality. 5. SDE2 and SDE3 promos are very hard, whereas staff promos are easy. 6. Disparity in paying performance pay even when the company is showing good profits every quarter. 7. A lot of repetitive tech is being built in different teams at the same time. No one wants to support building common services or centralized domains so that rework or extra work is not needed in every team.
