Pros

None. Its just a job.

Cons

Working at Altisource was one of the most exhausting and demoralizing experiences of my career. Management is consistently ineffective, disconnected from reality, and driven by poor executive decision-making—starting at the top. The CEO’s choices have led to constant restructuring, offshoring, and recurring layoffs, creating a culture of fear and instability where employees are treated as disposable. There are no meaningful opportunities for growth. Raises are rare to nonexistent, promotions are virtually unheard of, and performance is not rewarded. Instead, employees are expected to absorb more and more work as teams are cut. Doing the job of 4–6 people is the norm, not the exception—without additional pay, title, or recognition. The workload is extreme and unsustainable. The expectation is that you are always available—from 6am to 10pm, weekdays and weekends. You’re expected to bring your laptop on vacations, respond outside of normal hours, and routinely work 70–80+ hour weeks with no overtime, no appreciation, and no work-life balance whatsoever. Benefits are another major disappointment. Health plans in the U.S. are outrageously expensive, with premiums that cost more than comparable state or government marketplace plans. Deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums are extremely high, making the coverage nearly unusable. Calling this a “benefit” feels misleading at best. Each year, conditions get worse: fewer people, more work, lower morale, and more cost-cutting at the employee’s expense. Leadership shows little concern for burnout or retention, and the company continues to lose talented people as a result. If you value stability, fair compensation, work-life balance, or employee well-being, this is not the place.
