Pros

Pay is $20.00 per hour The position I got hired for was easy. I just sat on a table with clipboard in the shopping center and got paid for it.

Cons

There are some nice people I've met, but it's a toss up. HR is a hit or miss when it comes to true kindness or professionalism. As usual, there is SELFISHNESS involved and a bit toxic. The second part of the project was where the grueling parts happend. Not good. 8 hours outside in the harsh weather (sun or cold or rain, etc.) with only a 1 hour lunch break and they monitor you SO MUCH! Every 30 minutes, you have to tell them how many signatures you got! There's a daily QUOTA! Of how many signatures to get per day, per petition!

Pros

° Okay pay ($20/hr) for essentially unskilled labor and temporary work. ° Coworkers are a diverse and fun bunch. ° Feels good to be making a political change, especially in your own backwards state.

Cons

° Outdoor work in ALL conditions. ° Numbers, numbers, NUMBERS! Cold, rainy/sleeting/snowy day where no one wants to stop and talk? NO excuse! ° In order to make numbers, individuals and teams are dropped off at private property locations and do ‘hit and run’ collections until asked to leave, sometimes by management, sometimes by law enforcement. Soon after, sometimes the next day, different employees are dropped off at the same high foot traffic locations and hustle signatures again until booted. ° Entire business model relies on effectively skirting private property rights and calling it First Amendment protected political canvassing. Allegedly their robust legal department makes sure the company stays on the good side of legality. On the street level, coworkers jokingly brag about literally running from property management and often from the cops so they can’t get a legal trespass notice on them and can hustle again there another day.
